Mista Vybe

Mista Vybes

Taking the term “multi-talented” to new heights, Mista Vybe is not just your average musician. This Versatile Young Black Entertainer (thus the acronym Vybe) certainly lives up to that title. In addition to writing all his own material, producing and arranging in some cases, Mista Vybe effortlessly switches between sweet-voiced R&B singing, Hip Hop rapping, “chatting” in Dancehall Reggae fashion, “freestyling” lyrics spontaneously, dazzling with energetic live stage performances, and even singing his own background vocals. He has already written (for himself and other artists) and performed numerous local and regional hits, topped the Pop charts in the all French-speaking Caribbean islands, scored a major underground hit in France, recorded with legendary 90’s “super-producer” Teddy Riley among other industry “big names”, and is a well-known solo star in his homeland.

Ms Alysha

Ms Alysha

Hailed as the “Wickedest Female Lyricist In The Business”, Trinidad-born Ms. Alysha combines powerful hook-lines, witty wordplay and rapid-fire lyrics, “spitting” with a fury never before displayed by a female Soca artist.

Born Alysha Alleyne, she grew up in Barataria and then moved to the gritty streets of Bon Air Gardens in Arouca, North-East Trinidad, where she spent her free time playing the steel pan, excelling at Hip-Hop dancing and emulating the Dancehall stylings of her idols, which included the likes of Patra, Lady G and Lady Saw as well as her favourite Dancehall artist of all time - the legendary Super Cat.

Michelle Sylvester

Michelle Sylvester

Armed with her trademark sense of humour and her stunning, R&B-flavoured singing style, 27-year-old Michelle Sylvester emerged from Trinidad’s 2004 Carnival with one of the season’s the most talked about songs, simultaneously building a reputation for herself as a charismatic stage performer. Her tongue-in-cheek solo single, “Go Ahead”, was consistently among the most requested songs at parties and on the radio during that year’s festival, and her equally popular duet “Dip Down Low” (featuring notorious “winerboy” and close friend, Terry Seales) produced a fun-filled video that remains one of the most highly rotated clips on Trinidad And Tobago’s music video station, SynergyTV. In 2005, she returned with the anthemic “Sleeping In Your Bed” and cemented her place in Caribbean music history by winning the coveted title of International Soca Queen and becoming the first ever Groovy Soca Monarch.

Terry Seales

Terry Seales

Once you discover the charismatic livewire known as Terry Seales, you can't help but wonder if whoever coined the phrase "the lifCrossovahe of the party" was talking about him. A natural-born entertainer for as long as anyone can remember, Terry is known just as much for his hilarious antics and raucous sense of humour as he is for his hit songs, dynamic performances and striking vocal ability. Well-known in his homeland of Trinidad And Tobago and throughout the West Indian Soca music circuit as "the Original Spicy Crispy Winer Boy", Terry is easily one of the most animated characters on the Soca scene and continues to dazzle audiences throughout the Caribbean, North America and Europe with his amazing live shows, while performing hits like "Chutney Ragga Soca Madness" (aka "Doh Wine Up On Mih Nani"), "Rise Up" (on the Paradise Riddim), "Dip Down Low" (featuring Michelle Sylvester), "D' Waist" and "Hello".

The Crossovah movement began when the now inseparable friends met at Timber Creek High School in Orlando, Florida. Ricardo Drue of Trinidad joined voices with Christopher “Criss” Grant of Jamaica to become members of a group called Diversity. After leaving the group they initially began Crossovah as a duo with Joshua “J-Rah” Jenkins of Barbados and Dave “Kupid” Richards of Antigua as dancers.
