Dear Band Leader: The Virginia “CaribFest” Committee, Inc. welcomes your participation in the Caribbean Carnival Extravaganza 2008 parade. As you know, your participation is as vital as the festival itself. The Carnival will take place this year on July 18-19, 2008 in Downtown Norfolk. The parade is scheduled for Saturday, July 19, 2008 beginning at 12:00 PM. In an effort to have a smooth operation and execution of the festival, we have provided you with the registration forms, rules and regulations. Please read this information carefully and return the registration form with the registration fee, depending on the size of your band, no later than June 19, 2008. Disclaimer: It is understood and agreed that Vendors, its agents and/or assigns shall indemnify, hold harmless and defend Virginia Caribbean-American Cultural Association Inc. (VCACA), its corporate sponsors, the City of Norfolk, Norfolk Festevents Ltd., their agents, volunteers, officers and employees from all liability and or expense, including attorney’s fees for loss or damage by reason of fire, vandalism, theft, water, natural disaster, or injury to any person or property in any manner arising out of or incident to this Vendor Agreement or the performance of its terms and provisions. Vendor shall be solely responsible for securing, at his/her sole cost, workers’ compensation insurance, disability benefits insurance and any other insurance as may be required by law.
